For those acquainted with our journey, it's no secret that Marc Ertel and I, in conjunction with our brother Damien Duque, have been harmonizing our musical talents under the banner of "Dawn Chorus and the Infallible Sea”. Prior to this endeavor, Marc and I were in the post-rock outfit Pillars. Marc handled guitar/synth duties, while I played the drums too loud. The inception of DCATIS occurred during our time as Pillars, and I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity it provided us to channel our artistic expressions after the era of Pillars.

On the evening of April 21, 2018, Pillars graced the stage, delivering an intimate performance that was centered around songs from Pillars’ debut LP, titled "Of Salt and Sea”. Among the tapestry of live recordings, ‘Live at the Hi-FI’ has etched itself as a cherished gem in my live performance memories. Some of the tracks, in their live incarnation, have taken on a new life that even I find myself favoring over their original studio counterparts. It brings me much excitement to share this performance with you all. This is an exclusive offering for Zakè Drone Recordings subscribers only.
